Please check back here often to find updates for everything that is related to Gifted Programs in the Bryant Public School District! The Arkansas definition of Gifted and Talented students serves as the guide in providing services and opportunities of students identified as gifted and talented in Arkansas.
"Gifted and talented children and youth are those of high potential or ability whose learning characteristics and educational needs require qualitatively differentiated educational experiences and/or services. Possession of these talents and gifts, or the potential for their development, will be evidenced through an interaction of above average intellectual ability, task commitment and /or motivation, and creative ability."
Bryant Gifted Programs serve students who require gifted services in order to meet their needs. It is not a reflection of intelligence or capability of students not identified as requiring services, but a program to meet the needs of students who require differentiation in order to be successful in school.
The vision of the Bryant Gifted Program is to offer quality exemplary educational opportunities to motivate, to challenge, and to facilitate academic growth for all students.
The mission of the Bryant Gifted Education is to extend the depth and complexity of the learning experience for the gifted student by promoting higher level thought processes, critical and creative thinking skills, freedom to study areas of interest to expanded levels of inquiry, and to develop within each individual a sense of individual worth and a responsibility to self and to society.
The ultimate goal of the Bryant Gifted Program is to extend the depth and complexity of the learning experience for the gifted student and to develop within each individual a sense of individual worth and a responsibility to self and to society.
